The North Lot are a 5-piece rock band from Boston, MA that blend together catchy melodies with crunchy guitar riffs and a dynamic rhythm section.  The original 4 members (Nick, Dave, George, and Mike) met during their freshman year of college in 2006 and formed the band in April of that year.  Only months later they released a 6-song demo called "Haunt My Dreams EP" and played their first gigs at local schools and clubs around the Boston area.  Unhappy with their sound at that point, the band reworked these original 6 songs for their live performance and began writing new material.  The new material had a totally different feel.  It was more dynamic than anything they had done in the past.

In May 2007 they went back into the studio to record some new material with local musician/producer Dennis Carroll.  The result was a single called "Lonely Game" which was released on the band's website that same month.  The band decided it would be worthwhile to team up with Carroll again to produce their debut EP later that year.  Chad Perrone, a well known singer-songwriter in the area, also came along to produce.  What started as a weekend project that November '07, ended up lasting until April of the next year.  The end result was a 5-song EP titled "Just Like a Picture" released in May of 2008.   Between all of this the band began scoring gigs at popular Boston music venues including the Paradise Rock Club, Middle East, and Avalon (now the House of Blues).  They were also featured as one of indie-music.com's top 25 indie artists of 2008.

After not playing for much of 2009, they returned performing some small shows at the end of the year with a revamped lineup.  A fifth member, guitarist David Laskowski, was added to the band to take over some of the electric guitar duties. They hope to eventually write some new music with him and expand further outside of Massachusetts.  In the meantime they will continue to perform throughout the area and see where that takes them.
